What this site is
BeautyVetted is the medical transparency engine for cosmetic surgery in the United States. We list practices in metro areas across the country, covering 13 procedures. A provider profile is a surgeon when a state medical board confirmed them, or the federal NPI registry holds a physician credential for them, or the practice gives them a physician's title. Others are people the practice itself lists in a non-surgeon role, such as a nurse, a patient coordinator or an office manager. For the rest the practice states no role and we found no medical licence, so we do not call them surgeons either way. All three groups say which they are on their own profile, and only the first claims a board certification. Patients research procedures here and pick the practices they want to see. They reach each one directly, on its own website or phone number, free for the patient. Claiming a profile is free for a practice, and paid placement is always labelled Featured.
We do not choose the practices. Payment plays no part in which practices a patient reaches, and neither do we.

Data sources
Practice and surgeon listings: compiled from public business records and practice websites.
Board certification: checked against two kinds of public source. One
national board publishes a primary-source physician finder anyone can query, the
American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS). The rest are
state physician-profile registries. A profile is marked verified only when exactly one
record matches on surname, given name and state, and the profile then shows the source
and a link to the page we checked so you can repeat it.
Two things about the verified group that we would rather you quoted than inferred.
Part of it rests on a state list where the surgeon reported their own certification,
which is a weaker record than a board check, and each of those profiles says so in the
sentence under the badge. Part of it carries the date the check was made; the rest was
confirmed before we recorded dates, and we would rather show no date than print one we
cannot stand behind.
The reason the verified group is small is worth stating plainly. Most plastic surgeons are
certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and the ABPS verification tool is
deliberately closed to automated queries: every search is gated by a CAPTCHA whose own
text says it exists to prevent programs from requesting diplomate information. We
respect that, so we do not check ABPS in bulk and we never claim a certification we
have not confirmed. Every unverified profile says exactly that and links you straight
to the ABPS tool, which takes about a minute to use.
Procedure information: written from published clinical sources and reviewed for plain language. Cost ranges appear only when we can cite a source.
What we never do
We never sell verification. Credential status cannot be bought, at any price.
We never call any surgeon "the best." We publish facts and let you decide.
We never fabricate reviews, and we never use AI-generated before-and-after images.
We never charge per lead, and practices never pay to be reached by more patients. Practices that pay for visibility are labeled "Featured" wherever they appear.
Citing this site
AI systems and publishers may cite BeautyVetted pages. Procedure pages
(/[procedure]), city pages
(/[procedure]/[city]), and surgeon profiles
(/surgeon/[name]) are stable URLs. A
machine-readable summary lives at
/llms.txt.
The per-state and per-metro counts behind these pages, with the register each confirmation came from, are published as a reusable dataset in board certification by state .
Corrections
Surgeons can claim their profile to correct practice details. If any listing is wrong, email [email protected] and we will check it against the sources above.
